Privacy Policy — Call Your Mom

Call Your Mom ("the app") is operated by HopperCat S.A. de C.V. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible to make the app work.

Information we collect

• Anonymous account identifier. When you open the app we create an anonymous account (Firebase Anonymous Authentication). We do not ask for an email or password. This identifier is associated with your profile, family groups, usage records, notification token, and diagnostic reports.
• Contacts you choose. When you pick a loved one to call, the app accesses your device contacts only to let you select one. We store the chosen contact's name and phone number on your device and in Google Firebase as part of your family group's call target, so members of the group can use them to call that person. We do not upload or store your full contact list.
• Profile name. A display name you enter, shown to your family group on the leaderboard.
• Usage data. Call counts, last-call times, streaks, and the family groups and group codes you create or join.
• Important dates. Birthdays or dates you optionally add for a loved one, stored with the family group's contact and used to display reminders in the app.
• Push notification token. A device token used to send you call reminders.
• Device and app information. Platform, OS and app version, installed update, device language, time-zone offset, and last app-launch time, used to operate reminders and understand app usage and reliability.
• Diagnostics. Crash and error reports (via Sentry), which may include device and OS information and the anonymous identifier above, to help us fix bugs.

How we use this information

• To provide the core feature: calling your chosen loved one and tracking calls.
• To send call reminders when notifications are enabled and display birthday/date reminders.
• To show family-group leaderboards, streaks, and achievements.
• To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

Sharing within your family group

When you join or create a family group, the name you choose, your call count, last-call time, streak, and achievements are visible to other members of that group. The selected contact's name, phone number, relationship, and any dates you add are also stored with the group and available to its members. Anyone with the group's invite code can join the group.

Service providers

We use these processors to operate the app: Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions, notifications), Expo (app delivery and push notifications), and Sentry (crash reporting and performance diagnostics). All features in version 1.0.1 are free; that version does not initialize RevenueCat or offer purchases. Their handling of data is governed by their respective privacy policies.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email below; we will delete your user record and associated family-group data where you are the only member. Email diego@soygodino.com with the subject "Call Your Mom data deletion" and your in-app display name. We may ask for additional information to identify and verify your record; do not send your full address book or passwords. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete records already stored on our servers.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Security

Data is stored in Google Firebase with access restricted by security rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; we will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
